Interview: Turnover on music discovery and their last contribution to Earth

Turnover, an emo/punk band from Virgina Beach, Va., passed through Texas with Citizen and Light Years for a summer tour that runs until August 7. Listen to the interview on our first podcast.

I made the trip out to The Ten Eleven instead of catching the show the night before in Austin, and I’m sure glad I did. In San Antonio, Turnover had an amazing crowd that jumped onto the stage to sing along during most of the set. There were also plenty of local bands that night– Without Words, Callaghan, Junes Not Faking, Suckerpunch, and A New Hope–but energy was high until the very end.

We caught up with Austin (vocals), Kyle (guitar), and Danny (bass) of Turnover after the show, which they claimed to be one of their favorites to play (along with their show in Boston). They talk about the motivation to create, good bands from their area, finding new music, and their last contribution to Earth.

Additional comments from Bobby and Eli of San Antonio.
