Known for excessive profanity and denouncing injustices, Molotov is never a band to keep silent. On the contrary, they always tell it how it is. The Mexican iconic rock band returns to Austin on December 20 in support of their most recent album “Agua Maldita.”
Though “Agua Maldita” is their seventh studio album, it is their first independently released project. Produced by Jason Perry, the album features Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC (who seems to be a perfect fit for the band).
Molotov has gained an impressive track record in their almost 20-year career: the band has toured around the world, won multiple Latin Grammys and is the subject matter of Olallo Rubio’s documentary “Gimme the Power.” And the band continues to stay true to their roots with their crude political and social critical, humorous lyrics.
Molotov will headline Mohawk on Saturday, December 20. Doors open at 8 p.m. Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. Purchase tickets to the show here.
